As a way of saying thank you to STARS for everything they did for Chris. Family and friends of Chris have come together to raise money for STARS in loving memory of him through hosting an annual golf tournament. Our goal is to raise enough donations to place a CL88 logo on the STARS helicopters.

As a charitable, non-profit organization; they rely on government, corporate and community support in order to provide a safe, rapid, highly specialized emergency medical transport system for the critically ill and injured.
Facts:
- An average flight costs $5,400 with $1000 of that total going towards fueling the helicopter alone
- Expenses per base are approximately $10 million a year
- Medical equipment for the helicopter is $1000 per aircraft
- Patients transported by helicopter ambulance are more likely to survive than those transported by ground ambulance, even though they are more severely injured
