CHRIS LETOURNEAU'S STORY

The morning of September 5, 2013, located just outside Sherwood Park, a young man named Chris Letourneau at the age of 22, was in a severe motorcycle accident because of another driver's unsafe decisions. Sherwood Park ambulance were first to respond to the accident, and based on their assessment of Chris' conditions, STARS Air Ambulance was called to respond. The accident had knocked Chris unconscious and caused him to have severe internal injuries. STARS did everything they could to help Chris and keep him stable as they flew him to the U of A Hospital. There they stayed by his side as the emergency team did what they could to save him. Unfortunately his internal injuries were too severe that his heart was unable to handle it, causing him to go into cardiac arrest and passing away later that morning. Chris left behind his Grandparents (Patrick & Jose), Mother (Cindy), Girlfriend (Raelene), Aunt (Darlene), Cousins (Alicia & Nikki) as well as many additional family and friends. He will be forever greatly missed by many!
